In the Alt-Leipzig (old Leipzig) room guests are transported back to an age that was already referred to as "the good old days" at the turn of the last century. The vaulted niches contain original paintings executed from historic originals by students at the college of art. Unfortunately, their names are no longer known. The ten city landscapes depict various buildings and squares of pre-1870 Leipzig. Because the original face of Leipzig was completely altered during the Wilhemian period. With a little imagination it is still possible to meander through romantic old Leipzig in your thoughts today.
